Why engage in a Joy In Work project?

Primary care is under unprecedented strain and we are seeing the impact on our colleagues and teams, with escalating levels of stress, frustration, exhaustion and demoralisation. Primary care is also full of brilliant individuals and teams who are full of passion and creativity, and who deeply care about the work and its impact on our communities. Joy In Work is all about re-engaging where you might have felt despondent, disillusioned or dissatisfied with how things are currently, and identifying the places where you, as a team, can create quick, impactful changes that make a huge difference to how happy you are at work.

What will you come away with?

These Joy In Work projects will give your team an opportunity to step out of the daily grind, look at things from a different perspective, and take ownership of making a difference to how enjoyable your daily work is. Working with external facilitators will help you generate space to think differently and ensure that everyone’s voice is heard. Connecting with other teams at our World Cafe/sharing events will give you inspiration and motivation to keep going with your impactful change ideas. Your team will come away feeling more connected, energised and empowered to take action on making the workplace a happier one.

While we recognise that the external circumstances creating this level of pressure are unacceptable and need to be dealt with, we all need to keep existing in the meantime, so we are here to help you create space to breathe, reconnect and work together to bring more joy into our workplaces.
